All about Hands
Last Saturday 2-2-2019 I had the privilege to capture the amazing wedding of Tom and Tugba at the wonderful Chateau Neercanne in Maastricht.
When I met them, I fell in love with them. They are the most warm and friendly people you can imagine, and are truly madly deeply in love with each other. That they asked me to be their wedding photographer, filled me with pure joy and excitement. It was an honor.
What I love, even more, is that they wanted me to concentrate on moments, truly meaningful and real moments and emotions of them and the people around them. And it is exactly that, what I want to do. Please don't mind me, and enjoy your day. Let me enjoy it with you in the background... I love that.
What was extra special for me, was that Rocio Vega from Momenticos joined me as a second shooter at this wedding. Why? Because we all need to learn, to become better wedding photographers. We all need to step out of our comfort zones and try new things. Without giving it a go, how can we know what suits us?
And yes, I also felt out of my comfort zone. Having her there felt both nervous and calming at the same time. I looked for help at times, and I was in awe. But most of all, I learned. It will take me more time to practice, to understand new things, but I am fine with that. But most of all... I loved our conversations, I loved hearing her talk about life and it was fun to get to know her better, She truly is a very special woman.
I'm in love with my images because it shows the love my couple have for each other.. they never stopped holding hands :-)
